Love Stories by Stephanie Allin

As lovers of anything bridal, there is nothing more exciting than being able to present our brides with new wedding dresses coming from the latest bridal fashion trends. April upon us means longer days, more light and finally springtime, we have found a collection to reflect this, more so, we think our brides in Edinburgh will absolutely love it – leading designer Stephanie Allin presents her 2019 Love Stories collection.

First up, a bit about the designer herself. Stephanie Allin started designing dresses 25 years ago, she currently runs two boutiques in London and Wales and her dresses are now being stocked all over the world. After having given an exclusive interview to Tie the Knot Scotland, we have been able to understand a little bit more about her interests and inspirations and how the Love Stories collection was created.

Love stories has been the most popular collection to date, where Stephanie describes her aim being ‘to create dreamy, romantic and fresh styles that had the right mix of elegance and glamour.’ I think this sums up the collection perfectly, I’m sure all our brides will agree after seeing the dresses that Oscar Lili will be wholesaling in the near future.

Monroe- This gown is simply the epitome of spring.

The delicate floral detail spread all over the dress is so beautiful yet discrete. The off shoulder neckline is so flattering, allowing your collar bones to be on show, accentuating your neck and shoulders. The soft crepe fabric making up the dress will feel luxurious on the skin, moving with your body rather than giving you a structured shape. This fishtail style is very feminine, finishing off with the perfect sized train, dramatic without being too much!

Georgia- The perfect romantic fairytale look.

This dress has a similar pattern and petal detail to Monroe however the shape is completely different. Starting off with the neckline, yes it may be off shoulder too but the sweetheart shape is a key difference- accentuating your cleavage and balancing out your body. The A-line shape which has a full organza skirt is perfect for the girls wanting to go big and be a princess on their wedding day, the material of the skirt is soft and light so don’t be intimidated by its size.

We hope you are as excited as us to come and try these showstopper bridal gowns on! Please give us a call on 0131 447 1877 or email us at to get your appointment booked in our Edinburgh based bridal boutique.
