All about glitter

One trend that appeared on the 2019 Bridal fashion Week runways was sparkle, and at Oscar Lili bridal we do love a bit of glitter! From what we can see this is a trend definitely sticking around for 2020 and even bringing an extra sequin or two along with it.

Led by our designer Liliana Dabic, we have such a creative team here at Oscar Lili and are always inspired by the most contemporary and unique bridal styles. Whether you have been loving the intricate beaded gowns of Mira Zwillinger or scattered crystals seen in Viktor & Rolf’s Mariage 2020 collection then we have something for you here at the Oscar Lili boutique.

If you are looking for a wedding dress that exudes luxury, and want to stand out from the crowd, then you need to know about our Vivien dress. This design is all about vintage elegance meets contemporary glamour and features a metallic embroidered lace appliqué over fine tulle fabric. This is handcrafted with gorgeous all-over beading, mini pearls, crystals and sequins for added sparkle. With a dramatic plunge neckline you will feel a little daring, but this is balanced by a nude tulle insert as well as long sleeves for more coverage. The mermaid silhouette and long train keeps the style modern and is so flattering on the figure.

This design is also available as separates if you want to mix and match your look or feel that all over embellishment is too much for you. The Vivien bolero top can be styled with more of a plain fishtail skirt to keep you looking glamorous and yet effortless.

On the subject of separates; our Emily skirt is a must if you love both lace and beading but want to channel a more of a Boho bride vibe. The skirt is made of a heavy ivory satin and layered with a beautiful eyelash lace which is embellished with sparkling beading. It is a floor length style with a short train and has more of a casual feel despite the detailing. We love pairing Emily with our made to measure satin cami tops and corsets to create versatile styles for every bridal occasion.

Finally, our Herera dress is for the bold bride who still wants to keep it sleek. This strapless wedding dress is an elegant figure hugging shape and hangs beautifully on the body. The unusual art deco style lace (reminiscent of 1920’s glamour) is completely adorned in glittering beads and sequins, which make it quite a heavy dress to wear but you will feel even more extravagant and all eyes will be on you. The champagne coloured fabric is different from the regular white wedding gown but with 2020 wedding trends being more focused on individuality, we think it is all the more fun not to follow the rules of the conventional.

We have plenty more sparkle in our Morningside boutique, including some glamorous styles by designer Stella York, so pop in for a browse or contact us to book your personal consultation.
